On Friday, a statement was issued on PSA's corporate website, revealing that 6451 items were stolen from a truck, comprising a variety of sports trading cards and Pokémon cards, as well as sealed vintage baseball card sets. The company provided a comprehensive list of the stolen items, which included deactivated rating certification numbers. All the items were cards that PSA had recently appraised and were being returned to their respective owners.

The Professional Shooting Association has submitted surveillance footage and shipping manifests to law enforcement agencies to aid in the investigation. Additionally, the list of items has been distributed to numerous online marketplaces and auction houses to enable them to track the movement of the stolen cards.

The Property Services Agency has not yet released an updated valuation for the stolen items, although the rating body had previously informed law enforcement that the contents of 200 out of the 250 stolen packages were appraised at an approximate total of 963,000 US dollars.

The company has reached out to affected clients and initiated compensation for the stolen items. All rating fees associated with the stolen goods have been fully refunded. Furthermore, additional compensation will be calculated based on the "fair market value" of the items, as determined by PSA through comparable sales and other data sources, with the maximum amount capped at the declared highest insurance value.
