The FIFPRO World 11, an accolade honoring the year's top male and female footballers as chosen by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association Players' Union, was initially known as the FIFPRO World 11. It was established in 2005 to recognize the finest footballers as voted by their peers. In 2009, a collaboration with FIFA led to a rebranding of the award to the "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," or the FIFA Team of the Year, while maintaining the original voting system. As of 2024, FIFPRO will manage the award autonomously and revert to its original title, the FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year is meticulously chosen through ballots cast by professional soccer players worldwide, standing as the sole global accolade exclusively decided by the athletes themselves. The eligibility criteria for the nominees are based on their performances between August 4, 2025, and July 19, 2026, with a requirement that they must have featured in at least 30 official matches during this period.
在最终确定的11人名单中，将包括1名守门员、3名后卫、3名中场球员以及3名前锋，而剩余的位置将由得票数最高的非守门员球员占据。
